Such is the case of the lullaby "Cuando yo era niña", compiled in two anthologies, one by Francisco Rodríguez Marín (Cantos populares españoles, 1883) and one by Fernando Llorca (Lo que cantan los niños, 1931). In this song, the alternation of the two voices -each from a different culture- that lull the child to sleep is combined with displacements in its utterance situation. Altering the purpose and the receiver of traditional lullabies, there are new discursive forms that intrude into this song: self-referential relations, amorous compliments, emotional expressions of the speaker, and religious folk poetry. These elements belong to a cultural imaginary very different from the one in which the child is being reared, and they account for the amplitude of aspects we must take into consideration to study any lullaby. Based on this comprehensive insight of lullaby as a folk genre, and by means of a theory on poetry both structural and pragmatic, the present work intends to analyze in which manner the medieval topic of the Christian captive maiden survives in this dialogical lullaby. This will show to what extent this survival plays a part in the configuration of a lyrical voice marked by the experience of travel, but that, at the same time, preserves the capability to transmit its own culture. =538 \\$aapplication/pdf =540 \\$aLICENCIA DE USO: Los documentos a texto completo incluidos en Dialnet son de acceso libre y propiedad de sus autores y/o editores.
