It spread its influence across Europe, especially in France, where the poem was imitated three decades after its first publication and its translation by Saint-Lambert became as prestigious as the Scottish poet's original poem. Thomson's work and its outstanding French translation were highly appreciated by Spanish poets, mainly by Cienfuegos and Meléndez Valdés, and its influence can be traced on the anacreontic odes by the poet Ribera del Fresno. Moreover Thomson's work was translated and imitated in the early nineteenth century, firstly in the French prose translation by Mme Bontemps (1801), and secondly in the partial translation by the aragonese journalist and writer Mor de Fuentes (1819). This paper deals with the latter. =538 \\$aapplication/pdf =540 \\$aLICENCIA DE USO: Los documentos a texto completo incluidos en Dialnet son de acceso libre y propiedad de sus autores y/o editores.
