=520  3\$aThe Cervantes tragedy El cerco de Numancia is a dramatic play with an irrevocable strength and intensity and an undeniable dramaturgical modernity that makes it possible to adapt to the staging of the 21st century. Specifically, this research addresses the production of the Spanish Theater of Madrid of the theatrical season 2015-2016 directed by Juan Carlos Pérez de la Fuente and whose version was synthetically named as Numancia. A visual and sound proposal with operatic reminiscences that together with an actoral distribution of enormous quality and delivery and a textual and thematic updating of the great theme of the work of Cervantes, freedom, were addressed overwhelmingly on the viewer.
