=520  3\$aJuan Alfonso de Baena's poem «Poderoso dominable» (ID 6787) is based on a dispute between Juan Agraz and Juan Marmolejo that developed in a two-stage exchange. It begins with the decir «Acordado avemos nós» (ID 1863), in which Agraz gives free rein to offensive comments about his opponent, and continues with the tensó «Mala nueba de la tierra» (ID 1865), also initiated by him, in which we can hear the voices of both poets in alternate stanzas. The inclusion of Baena's poem in this satirical group of texts is absolutely essential: not only does it evince a clear literary and life connection with these poets, two of his contemporaries, but also guarantees an accurate edition of «Poderoso dominable», which can only be understood as part of a whole.
