Compared to the large amount of Roman films and movies that draw their inspiration from Greek mythology, at first glance, one might think that the Byzantine millennium is not interesting as a film plot. Nevertheless, we have a less known filmography, originating from Greece and Turkey mainly, which depicts other periods and recreates the biography of historical figures of great significance.
