Framed in the process of recovery and dissemination of the literary production of Carnés, absent from literary studies for a long time, the article focuses on issues such as the anomalous reception of the work, unpublished for several decades and published posthumously; its critical and cognitive value; and, especially, the collective and identity dimension it projects through the narration of the dramatic experiences lived by the Spanish Republicans when they left the country, especially the women.
