=520  3\$aMany are the standards of analysis and interpretation of that peculiar kind of book which reaches the reader in the variable yet always recognizable shape of "poetic anthology".  In considering the whole range of such possible methods it has been my intention to propose a criterion based on the renowned model of communication devised by the Russian scholar Roman Jakobson (chapter XI of Essais de linguistique générale ). Such a pattern is here offered as a system of analysis which, to begin with, allows me to isolate and, subsequently, to analyse the always changeable elements subtending that particular class of publications. In our case such a system also proves the possibility of being used as a successful model of investigation in the anthological repertory, published in Italy between 1934 and 1963, concerning Spanish poetry of the first three decades of the 20th century.
