En este estudio, tras la pertinente contextualización histórica y biográfica de la escritora, se analiza detenidamente su poemario Presencia a Oscuras, centrándonos en el tema de la identidad. La herramienta principal utilizada para este cometido será el examen de las formas verbales más frecuentemente utilizadas en la obra. Tras el análisis, se concluye que el personaje poético queda construido a través de la lucha entre sus ansias de ser destruido y su resistencia al olvido
