=520  3\$aManuel Vázquez Montalbán had already made known his poetic works in several anthologies, as in the well-known Nueve novísimos poetas españoles by J. M. Castellet, even before the publication of his first poetry book, titled Una educación sentimental. However, it is not until this work came out when it is discovered the key importance of intertextuality in his poetry. This phenomenon includes not only references to other literary works, but also constant mentions to songs' lyrics, advertisement announcements, cinematographic works... The intention of this study is to identify every intertext linked to the subculture, as well as to define the role they play in the first poetry of this autor from Barcelona.
