=520  3\$aThis articles takes as a focus of attention the relationship between Colombianpoetic discourse and the phenomenon of violence. Rather than offeringa detailed analysis of a specific corpus of poems, this article first ofall seeks to make visible the vast theoretical and conceptual lacuna on theissue. It is with this gap in mind that the article then proposes possible linesof approaching the phenomenon of violence based on what poetic discoursehas to offer. In this sense, it can be said that the article seeks to highlightthe need of a theoretical corpus that allows for the study of how twentiethand twenty-first century Colombian poetry has navigated, resisted, contested,subverted or even trespassed the ontological, discursive, representational,and figurative threshold of violence and its multiple correlates.
