=520  3\$aThe following paper discusses the reception of Jorge Luis Borges Short-stories by the Swedish band At the Gates. The influence of the South-American author ismade evident in some of the lyrics in the At War with Reality (2014a) album. At the Gatespresents a refiguration (Ricœur, 2009) of the borgesian narrative and creates redescriptions ofthe plots and the setting. Besides, the lyrics contain intertextual elements (Zavala, 2017) thatare related with the texts of the Latin-American writer. This paper shows a proposal of Atthe Gates against an imposition of reality that is similar to that in Borges' work
