The sonnets of Miguel  Hernández are undoubtedly sons of their time and the features that can recall some  Spanish Baroque resources have been passed through the sieve of a creator who  is a very conscious poet. The result, as observed in the analysis of some of them  and as can be seen from the comparison of a genuinely baroque sonnet, points to  a reworking of these resources, mostly rhetorical, to create a contemporary work
