This article will analyze the symbolic  representation featuring Juana Díez de Aux y Armendáriz, marchioness of Cadereita and wife of the viceroy of New Spain Francisco Fernández de la Cueva. For  this, three fundamental aspects will be approached: the figurative recreation in the  triumphal entry, the strategies of persuasion in festive events and, finally, the meaning of an unpublished familial portrait executed as a religious votive offering with  propagandistic connotations
