=520  3\$aThis article aims to give a panoramic view of the research carried out recently  in Portugal on the presence of classical mythology in the decoration of its palaces. It  is presented in the form of a mythological route, illustrated with images, which runs  through 28 monuments -including palaces, churches, gardens and other buildings-,  distributed throughout the national geography -following the south-north axis- and  framed in a broad chronology -XVI-XX centuries-. An attempt has been made to  combine time and space as much as possible, beginning in the Renaissance Algarve  and ending in neoclassical Porto.
