This paper will show, through an ecocritical approaching, a comparative study on two novels: Una mina llamada Infierno, by the Spanish Alejandro Gallo, and Zia Summer, by the Mexican Rudolfo Anaya. In spite of belonging to crime fiction, both novels contain a clear defence of the environment. So, it will be interesting to analyze them.
