Here and now, there are writings that are configured under the dynamic ofa shout. That shout is present in Mexican writer Beatriz Rivas' Jamás, nadie (2017). Thetheme is the migration of Chinese to the north of Mexico in search of a better life. Thetrigger: the envy of the Mexicans which resulted in the savage slaughter of Chinese. Thisarticle investigates the importance of the shout, as a symbolic resource that represents thesilent tragedy suffered by the protagonists of this novel, as well as their endure. To this end,we frame it into the hermeneutics of Paul Ricoeur and Andrés Ortiz-Osés, as well as thereflections around the shout of the Italian psychoanalyst Massimo Recalcati, the analysis ofthe violence by the French philosopher René Girard, and the conceptualization of the painthat the Mexican writer Cristina Rivera Garza establishes
