This article studies the chorus of the romances «El lastimado Belardo»; «Sentado en la seca yerba»; «¡Oh, gustos de amor traidores!»; «Al pie de un roble escarchado»; «De pechos sobre una torre»; «Ya vuelvo, querido Tormes»; «Cuando las secas encinas»; «Hermosa Lucinda mía»; «Riyéndose va un arroyo»; and «Ardiendo se estaba Troya», attributed with high probability to Lope. The distribution and repetition of these choruses prove the importance that Lope gives to the «corresponsión de las cadencias» in his romances.
