The Panic Movement, founded by Roland Topor, Alejandro Jodorowsky and Fernando Arrabal, was a milestone in the world dramaturgy because its proposal of a new model of theatrical performance. Despite the differences in content and form of its works, it is distinctive a series of elements of the French vanguardism that configures this artistic movement. We emphasize the importance of the French theatre for researching about the connections between the cultural French repertoire and the drama plays by Arrabal, specially El Arquitecto y el Emperador de Asiria. To this end, we proceed to a comparative analysis of the Panic theatre by Arrabal with the writings by Antonin Artaud, the theatre by Alfred Jarry, and the Surrealist movement.
