                            [a] => The article deals with the choice between the verbs ir / anar and venir in Spanish and Catalan /  Valencian when the movement, headed towards a place not occupied by the speaker or the hearer, is  done by a subject in the second person of the singular and the sentence includes the complement  conmigo / amb mi. The data was collected by means of a test carried out among peninsular native and  bilingual speakers of Spanish, as well as among native speakers of Catalan / Valencian. Contrary to  expectations, the differences between Spanish and Catalan speakers appear to be small. The presence or  absence of the auxiliary querer / voler also conditions the choice to a great extent.
