                            [a] => In Spain there is a multilingual reality that has been multiplied with the arrival of foreigners.With this work we try to check, after the construction of linguistic competence indicator in Spanish (ICLE) from the oral skills, phonics, writing and understanding the foreign language skills of both formal and informal areas of Spanish. Data obtained from administration of a survey of the foreign population settled in the province of Almeria between 14 and 18.The results show that the level attained by them is lower than that obtained by the native students. Moreover, among the foreigners themselves significant differences in response to the origin and generation.
