This article studies the interspersed letras and motes in the romance of chivalry Espejo de príncipes y caballeros (Part III) by Marcos Martínez. Amongst the many poems in the mentioned work, the article only treats those with a narrative function, which is to explain and amplify certain significant information for the characters in the diegesis. These poetic compositions, however, are also related to categories describing courtly love feelings. The article also announces future and further analysis of the letras and motes of tournament in the same novel.
