    Over the past decades, we have been witnessing a gradual, sharp reduction in the Latin presence in the curricula, particularly marked in the Portuguese case. However, in recent times there is a remarkable effort to slowly reintroduce the classical lan- guages and cultures in the Portuguese education system, recognizing the essential role they play in the cultural and civic education of youngsters. Consequently, there is a need to equate training solutions to support teachers who have embraced or may embrace this challenge at short notice. It was in this context that a workshop in didac- tics of Latin (Oficinas de Didática do Latim) was designed and implemented, aiming at addressing the lack of specific training offers, at national level, in the area of Classi- cal Culture and Languages. In this paper, the way they this e-learning workshop was structured and operationalized is depicted, and its high participation/interaction sug- gests it was timely, and, thereof, should be continued.
