    Annotation:

Between the end of the 19th Century and the beginning of the 20th the Spanish literature found an alternative way of integrating in Latin America: not only through the inclusion of the Spanish literature as a subject in the school's literature syllabus as a part of an educative integration policy for immigrant population, but also by means of the popular acceptation through the lecture of serials, essays and poems published in newspapers and magazines. In this paper we analyse Spanish literature representations in articles from Luis Ruiz de Velasco and Manuel Calvo that were published in two different periods of time in the well-known newspapers from Tucumán, a province of North Argentina, El Orden and La Gaceta. We study in these critical texts the agreements and disagreements of the representative works of the Spanish literature and the permanent tensions on their contributions to the argentine culture.
