This essay approaches travel literature from Andrés Neuman's book, Cómo viajar sin ver (2010), which presents a voyage through Latinoamerica related in small notes or microfictions. It reflects both on a new way of travelling (and, therefore, of writing about travels) and on the feelings of alterity or identity that are caused to the author by the encounter with its continent of origin.
