Belief in any kind of conspiracy theory has existed since ancient times. However, the introduction and development of new media technology has turned this event viral. The purpose of this article is to analyse how, since the beginning of the twenty first century, conspiracy theories have crossed the threshold of the pathological to become logical by manipulating historical evidence and penetrating the political discourse. This is non-innocuous as history has demonstrated that the implantation of such theories and their evolution from the pathological to the logical parallels the transition from individual paranoia to the Holocaust genocide.
