Although movements questioningthe sexist character of the Spanish languageemerged several decades ago, in Argentina thetheme gained wide notoriety and occupiedthe center of debates in the media and socialnetworks during 2018. Indeed, since that year, the use of the morpheme -e as a new genderbrand, that objects to the patriarchal paradigmand binary gender roles, began to circulate. Attentiveto this, the present article approachesthe different forms of inclusive language and itscirculation in the educational field, specificallyin the field of higher education in Argentina.First, this paper points out the different formsof inclusive language and characterizes themas discursive marks of diversity and traces ofdissent that staged invisible generic identities. Then, it shows the relevance of inclusive languageas an object of analysis, in pursuit of alinguistic education that encourages pluralityand critical thinking. For this, some discursivepractices of reading and writing in educationalinstitutions are examined. Finally, there is afocus on the fact that inclusive language bringsinto play issues related to identity, ideology, norms and correction. Its treatment in theclasses can open spaces for debate and discussion, and influence the deepening of linguisticreflection, and respect for diversity.
