This paper deals with three different types of treatment of the Greek literary eroticism: 1. The eroticism presented in Plato's Symposium; 2. That of Apolonius of Rhodes in his Argonautica, and 3. Charito of Afrodisia's Khaereas and Kallirrhoe. The description provides an explanation of their differences, locating them within the wide variety of ways in which the theme of eroticism is treated in the Greek literary production.
