    Annotation:

Is Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz indigenist and subversive or, on the contrary, ultra-conservative and loyal to the Spanish crown? This dispute over the alleged political significance of Sor Juana's works has given rise to many polemics that often say little about the texts. This brief commentary on the loa and the auto El divino Narciso tries to take into account some cultural codes contemporary to the poet, such as figurative thought, the allegorical structure of the autos and the conceptismo. It is thus suggested that Sor Juana's texts are not so much subversive as they are ingeniously linking Amerindian and European pagan mythologies, as well as the metamorphosis of the myth with the transubstantiation in the eucharist
