    Annotation:

The cycle of poems that, between 1606 and 1607, Luis de Góngora dedicates to the Marquises of Ayamonte presents certain elements whose origin and productive logic can be traced in the Neoplatonic philosophy that had so widely spread during in the Renaissance, particularly through the figure of Marsilio Ficino. Our purpose will be to analyse how in these poems a series of images related to Light and Sun appear, images that, far from constituting commonplaces, are based on a group of texts that develop the luminous aspect of Renaissance Neoplatonism. These images contribute to create the lyrical picture of the marquises and their daughter as public figures, to which, in the case of the two women, that one of Renaissance ladies characterized by their beauty is added.
