    In this article, based on a theo-retical basis regarding the reality of English teaching classrooms in Secondary Educa-tion, we present some work proposals to use young poetry as a result of social net-works as a didactic tool that fosters inter-est in learning of a second language (Eng-lish) from an active methodology in which students feel real protagonists of their own learning. Our proposal mainly focuses on activities based on texts written by mil-lennial authors such as Rupi Kaur, Robert Montgomery or Samantha Jayne, three ref-erents of this new and controversial gen-eration of authors in the English language, who use social networks as an instrument of projection and dissemination of their work with great success and media signif-icance
