The work -and life- of narrators of "Nuevo Romanticismo" entailed anideological breakdown of the dominant avant-garde novel in the first third of 20th century. They proposed a new literature and involved the fight against the established socioeconomicsystem, in which they suggested the union between intellectuals and manual workers in order to change life. The neorromantic narrators haven't been studied by the historian of Spanish Literature, although they got success in their time, with their novels, their journalistic articles, their independent publishing and their programmatic texts. The silence (and theoblivion) fell over them. This article intends to check and combat the critical ostracism of theHistories of Spanish Literature with these writers. As we know, Histories of Literature constitute one of the most powerful ideological apparatus to mark Literary Cannon, hence the misunderstanding of these novelists in (or with) Literary Histories.
