                            [a] => The aim of this paper is to analyse the poem Descripción del sitio, templo y milagrosaimagen de Nª Sª de la Cabeza en la ciudad de Motril (1663). To achieve this purpose, the article is divided in three sections: first, we offer a brief overview of the object of the poem, the sanctuary of Nuestra Señora de la Cabeza in Mo-tril. Secondly, the genre and the structure of the text are examinated, to go immediately to the comment of certain passages, triying to bring to light some ingenious concepts. Finally, we study the fragments of the poem with descriptions of the cost from Motril, putting them in relation to other literary and pictorical works.
