This article describes the poetic hybridism and the corresponding issues of textual criticism that characterise some of the cancionero poets' works in the Galician-Castilian language. By making a historical-literary itinerary and analysing the previous editions and the studies of Macías' poetic corpus, this article analyses in further detail the specific case of the poem «Cativo de miña tristura» (ID0130), considering the direct and indirect textual tradition. To date, we have five editions of Macías' poetic corpus, each one with its corresponding choices and text critical peculiarities regarding the textual witnesses employed, the attributions, the incorporation or not into the edition of the apocryphal poems, and the galleguización of the texts. The indirect tradition analysed in this study proves the relationships between the cancionero families and explains, in some cases, how the texts were incorporated into them; at the same time, the indirect tradition provides very interesting data for the philological and literary 'history' of Macías' poems, since the quotations from them share the philological vicissitudes of the poems in which they are incorporated and of the testimonies that convey them.
