    Annotation:

The authors of this research show a general perspective of Plauto's comedies within European theatre, since nowadays there is still no convincing and comprehensive overall survey on this. In order to carry out the analysis, they indicate two stages clearly differentiated; the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. Subsequent to Renaissance theatre, they focus on Spanish theatre, reaching Lope de Vega's times.
