In this article we undertake the global analysis of the role played by the theater company «La Barraca» (1932-1937) in the society of the Spanish ii Republica. In a situation of economic, social, and cultural deprivation, Federico García Lorcas initiative was an experiment to take the classical theater to the masses of forgotten villages in Spain. García Lorca an innovator of the scene from inside shows his vision of theatre and the ability to understand what the audience wanted to see what they expected and what they could understand. He also demonstrated his ability to lead a project to develop their creativity and evinces his real commitment to drama and its structures (with a good selection of texts, music, scenery, etc.) in order to approach the theatre to an audience usually marginalized in Spain at the time.
