In this research is deeply analized El suicidio del príncipe Ariel, first novel of the spanish writer José Antonio Balbontín (1893 - 1978), wich was published 1929 even it was written a few years ago; as an important thing it also involves the starting point of the social novel in Spain. So that, the specific characteristics of the social novel, all the biographical references, the intelectual evolution of Balbontín d many of their publications in that period, the topic of the tyrannicide and many tematic aproaches to José Díaz Fernández (1898 - 1941).
