But Delicado develops some techniques inherited from La Celestina related to morphological and lexical alleration of proverbs and, consequently, modifies the moralizing aspect of some of them. From this point of view, the Portrait of Lozana: The Lusty Andalusian Woman can be seen as a transition work byeen La Celestina and other seminal works as Lazarillo de Tormes, Guzmán de Alfarache and Don Quixote regarding the artistic manipulation of proverbs, and its author should be considered a writer capable of individualizing popular wisdom.
