Beginning from Bernhard König's work and through the analysis of chapters i-viii of the Libro Segundo de Morgante (Valencia, 1535) by Jerónimo de Aunés, the study wants to draw attention to the importance of the Spanish translation of Luigi Pulci's Morgante and the ability of its Valencian adapter. The comedian enters loudly in the literature of the time and even more traditional religion becomes the object of ridicule and derision, as demonstrated by the transformation of the «Christian Creed» in «Gastronomic Creed». After the age cancioneril, Spain prepares the entrance of the figure of pícaro, that such success will redeem in whole Romance literature of the sixteenth century.
