The aim of this article is to delve into the language of the author Llanos Gómez Menéndez, and in particular, into her first literary work, which she released after plentiful essay production, entitled Arco voltaico (2014) where poetry and drama converge in a writing, which could be defined as hybrid literature and, without a doubt, draws upon author's research experience, focussed on the historical avant-gardes and on the study of social and textual fields. The distinctive feature of this book, perhaps the inevitable one, is its performativity -a term that has been recovered by the philosopher of language John Langshaw Austin in his work  How to Do Things with Words (1962)-. The performative utterances are characterized by their ability to act at the moment of expression. This aspect is highly evident in the volume of Gómez Menéndez, where word performance is demonstrated, therefore it becomes an original and anomalous writing in regard to the production of Spanish contemporary literature and its languages. The literary experiment is an endeavour not only of search and discovery of new theoretical and pragmatic writing formulations, but also of a decision to get closer to an audience
