The research aims to analyse the memory strategies for the identity construction taken by Julio Llamazares in his novels. Through an investigation of the six novels of this author, which are works dedicated to the cultural memory of certain social groups outside the official discourse of Spain, this research tries to analyse the evolution of the approaches put by the author in the relation between memory and identity -from trying to recover a forgotten collective memory of the country until confirming a compound individual identity-, as well as the literary resources used by the author to achieve his goal of fighting «against time, against destruction and against oblivion».
