                            [a] => This paper surveys the history of translation and publishing in Spanish of the work of Yorgos Seferis in order to gain insight into cultural and intellectual practices of the 20th century in Spain. But, in order to understand the process of the reception of the work of Seferis in Spain, it is necessary to consider other sociocultural areas such as English, French and even Italian. The English and French versions will be the ones that will provide him a greater global visibility and lead him to the Nobel Prize of Literature in 1963, while the peripheral literatures will access to his work much later, thanks to the existing translations in other languages and to the recognition of the Nobel Prize.
