                            [a] => In the southern region of the state of Jalisco, Mexico, is the town of Tepec, in which there are various traditions around elves and other supernatural entities. Taking into account two stories given by narrators of the place, we can realize the type of representations that in this town are made of these imaginary beings: on the one hand, as entities that steal from children; and on the other, as spirits of the water. In this analytical exercise, a sample will be made of the way in which the goblins are represented in this region of Jalisco, and a comparative work will also be done, taking into account other ways in which they have been represented in other regions of the country, with the purpose of finding points of similarity and difference that show us the most particular characteristics of these entities.
