                            [a] => El robo de las sabinas is an unknown work to which literary criticism has paid little attention. Thus, the objecti-ve of this work is, on the one hand, to show a preliminary dating of the comedy and, on the other, to expose the main authorship issues. At first, the textual transmission and the classic bibliographic catalogs (Fajardo, Medel del Castillo and La Barrera, among others) appoint the authorship to Juan Coello y Arias, an author certainly unexplored for Golden Age theater's researchers. However, a news item from 1637 awards the autorship to Francisco de Rojas Zorrilla and Antonio Coello, as well as Juan Coello. Finally, we present our preliminary hy-potheses about the comedy, concluding that, in fact, Francisco de Rojas Zorrilla's autorship is possible.
