This paper aims to examine the potential of wine tourism in France, the main importer of Spanish wine and one of the most important countries of origin of tourism in Spain. For this purpose, the image of Spanish wine for French tourism has been analysed by means of the research of commercial and institutional Spanish websites. Not only the visibility and positioning have been considered, but also the access to content written in French and the degree of translation of the websites. Likewise, the strategies for promoting wine tourism and the adequacy of the translations have been observed. However, the results showed that a greater awareness of the importance of the translation of contents is still required in order to beable to take advantage of the potential of Spanish wine tourism in other countries and, more specifically, in France
