The series starring the private investigator John Blacksad constitutes one of the greatest milestones regarding the contemporary graphic novel. Thanks to the adventures of this anthropomorphic cat, interest in hard-boiled narrative born from pulp stories and film noir has been recovered, elements adapted to the zoomorphic universe where their cases take place. The success of the saga created by Díaz Canales and Guarnido is evident in the international recognition of Blacksad, recognized by critics and the public. On the latter, we want to delve into the reading and reception of the work, which has been adapted to other interactive formats, where readers have been able to participate in the issues present in the cases to be investigated. The transmediality of the saga is made up of two different formats, since apart from the originals, we have Blacksad: Under the skin, a video game already treated by academics, and Blacksad: The role-playing game , a more neglected format. During the analysis, the key aspects of all the productions will be specified, in order to study the dialogue between the original work and its readers. In this way, thanks to the work on ergodic narrative and game studies, we will delimit the communication produced regarding the original and its adaptations, all thanks to what is referred to as the "fan phenomenon".
